As part of her third and final year of the Bachelor of Technology in Biological Engineering, specialising in Environmental Sciences and Ecotechnologies, at the University of Clermont Auvergne, Axelle Saget-Lethias is currently undertaking a four-month internship at Ifremer, from 16 March to 6 July. |

On Thursday 5 March, the Ocean Fresco workshop was held in Koné. Inspired by the Climate Fresco, the Ocean Fresco consists of six themes and uses a set of 100 cards to build a systemic view of the ocean. It is rooted in an awareness-raising approach and allows participants to discover the issues related to the ocean and the actions that can be taken to preserve it. |

Louis Capelle joins the LEGOS laboratory as part of a six-month internship within the MaHeWa project. He will study the processes that lead to the generation, maintenance and dissipation of marine heatwaves in the South-West Pacific region, as well as their characteristics using existing regional numerical simulations. |

As part of her fifth and final year at ISTOM, an engineering school in agro-development based in Angers, France, where she specialised in the TRAME advanced study programme (Territories, Risks, Planning and Environment), Maile is completing a six-month end-of-studies internship within the MaHeWa project. |

Marquisar is a Kali’na geographer whose work focuses on biocultural relationships between societies and coastal and maritime spaces, particularly on the Guiana Plateau. In her research, she adopts an interdisciplinary and systemic approach to address scientific questions while taking into account contemporary societal challenges. |
