WP2 aims to understand the thermotolerance limits of key coral reef ecosystem species and exploited species (fished or aquacultured) in the face of marine heatwaves, as well as to assess the consequences of these heatwaves on biosecurity, particularly ciguatera risk. Multi-scale approaches will be employed, including laboratory experiments, field monitoring, and mesocosm studies. This corresponds to the four tasks of WP2 (coordinated by G. Mitta).
