Windmanagdé Thomas Sawadogo is an engineering student in data analysis and processing and will join the MaHeWa project as part of his Master’s internship starting on March 1, 2026. He is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Economic Analysis of Environmental, Marine, and Energy Projects (APEME), with a strong interest in public decision-making, investment under uncertainty, and the economic evaluation of climate adaptation policies.
In his previous work, he developed a decision-support tool for a French Departmental Directorate of Territories and the Sea in relation to the implementation of the SRU law. He also worked on the decarbonization of heavy transport by 2050, conducting a cost-benefit analysis of hydrogen deployment scenarios.
Within the MaHeWa project, he will focus on the economic assessment of adaptation strategies to marine heatwaves in Pacific island economies, particularly through the use of real options analysis and other decision-support methods suited to climate uncertainty.
